iPad & iPhone Filming and Editing

OVERVIEW: iPhone and iPhone Film Production

Research shows that video-rich websites attract many more hits than text-only sites. Video is also a great way of promoting your organisation’s messages on social media.

Nowadays if you have an iPhone or iPhone in your pocket you have the technology to film and edit videos.

Taught by TV broadcaster and video journalist Barbara McCann, participants will learn basic film and edit techniques on their device, enabling them to produce their own professional video content. Barbara pioneered the iPad as a portable moviemaking camera in her news gathering in Northern Ireland and in providing footage for international TV networks on breaking news stories.

The objective is to give participants the knowledge and skills to film and edit a quality video on an iPad/iPhone. The sessions includes an introduction to iPad video recording techniques to shoot professional-looking footage, training in editing skills, and uploading and sharing videos to the web.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone involved in business, charity and community work as well as those working in the media, wanting to produce their own video content as an information or marketing tool. No prior experience or knowledge is required. The training is targeted to public relations and communications professionals and journalists who publish online material or teachers, individuals and corporations who wish to develop multimedia content to get their message across effectively via social media including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo .

REQUIREMENTS: Students must have their own iPad or iPhone.
