The rainbow colours of the LGBTQ movement took over the streets of Belfast yesterday as thousands of people soaked up the fun atmosphere of the Belfast Pride parade.

Belfast Lord Mayor John Finucane led off the marchers from Customs House Square in Belfast.

The size of the march and those watching from the sides has grown in size every year.

Belfast’s first ever Pride parade was in 1991, when about 100 people took part.
