By VIEW editor Brian Pelan
Since the setting up of VIEWdigital in 2012 we have reported on a range of social affairs issues.
They include domestic violence; addiction; suicide prevention; housing; health; and homelessness.
We bring in a guest editor for each issue of VIEW magazine. They work alongside us to help produce an edition of our publication which will have a range of voices and stories.

Go to viewdigital.org/category/magazines/ to have a look at what we have covered since our first edition.
We are holding a public meeting on July 3, 11am, at the Belfast campus, York Street, Ulster University; to have a discussion on the vital role that independent journalism can play in the reporting of important social affairs topics.
The event is in room BC – 00 – 306.
This is on the ground floor of the main new building (with the reception desk).

Among those attending, from left, are Róísín Wood, Chief Executive of the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland; Sam Tranum, Deputy Editor at the Dublin Inquirer; and Columba O’Hare, editor of the website NEWRY.IE
